About converting other document formats
Not every document comes from Microsoft Office. This tool handles the OpenDocument formats used by LibreOffice and OpenOffice (ODT text documents, ODS spreadsheets and ODP presentations), Rich Text Format (RTF) files from older word processors and many email programs, and Microsoft Publisher (PUB) files such as flyers, newsletters and cards. Text documents keep their headings, tables and images; spreadsheets turn each visible sheet into pages; presentations become one page per slide. Publisher files are the most demanding format, because their layouts rely on exact positioning and fonts, so check the result carefully, especially text in frames and any unusual fonts. As with all conversions, fonts that are not installed on our server are replaced with a close match. XPS files are not supported at the moment. For Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, use the dedicated converters, which offer options suited to each format, such as fitting spreadsheet columns to the page.
Limits: files up to 25 MB with a free account, 200 MB on Pro and 500 MB on Business; up to 3 files per task on Free, 50 on Pro and 200 on Business. Each file counts as one Office conversion: 10 a month on Free, 300 on Pro and 500 per user on Business, shared across the workspace.
Before you sign in, files can be up to 25 MB and you can run 10 server tasks a day. A free account raises this to 25 MB and 10 tasks a day.
Privacy: your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection to our UK servers, processed automatically with no person opening it, and deleted within 2 hours (1 hour on Free), or straight away with Delete now.
