About converting PDF tables to Excel
Bank statements, price lists and reports often arrive as PDFs, which makes their numbers hard to reuse. This converter looks for tables on every page using the lines and spacing of the text, then writes each table it finds to its own sheet in an Excel workbook, so a document with five tables gives you five sheets. Cells keep their rows and columns, and numbers are written as text you can convert or format in Excel. It works on PDFs that contain real text, such as statements exported from online banking. Scanned pages have no text to read, so use Scan to Word or Excel for those. Tables without ruling lines, or with merged cells across several rows, are harder to detect; check the result and adjust where needed. A table that continues over two pages appears as two sheets, which you can paste together. If you only need the tables and want a CSV file instead, try Extract tables.

PDF to Excel: frequently asked questions
Why does each table appear on a separate sheet?
Keeping one table per sheet stops tables with different columns from mixing. You can copy them onto one sheet in Excel if you need to.
Does it work with scanned bank statements?
Not directly, because a scan has no text to read. Use Scan to Word or Excel, which runs OCR first.
Why are some numbers not adding up in Excel?
They may have been stored as text. Select the column and use Excel's Convert to Number option.
What is the difference from Extract tables?
Both find tables. PDF to Excel always gives an .xlsx workbook and counts as an Office conversion; Extract tables can also give CSV.
