About turning images into a PDF

Many forms and portals ask for a single PDF, not a handful of photos. This tool places each image on its own page, in the order you choose. Page size A4 suits the UK and most of the world, Letter suits North America, and Fit to image makes each page exactly the size of its picture with no white border. Orientation can be portrait, landscape or auto; auto picks landscape for wide images and portrait for tall ones, which is usually what you want for a mix of photos and documents. The margin setting adds no, a small or a large white border around each image; a small margin looks tidy when printed. Images are scaled to fit the page without being stretched or cropped. Photos straight from a phone camera can be several megabytes each, so if the finished PDF is too big for an upload limit, run it through Compress PDF. For scanned text you want to search or copy, use OCR PDF on the result.

Limits: images up to 25 MB each with a free account, 200 MB on Pro and 500 MB on Business; up to 25 images per task on Free, 100 on Pro and 200 on Business. Browser tools have no daily task limit.

Before you sign in, files can be up to 25 MB. A free account raises this to 25 MB.

Privacy: this tool runs entirely in your browser; the file never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded, so we have nothing to store or delete.

JPG to PDF: frequently asked questions

Can I combine several photos into one PDF?

Yes. Add all the images, drag them into order and they become one PDF with one image per page.

Does it work with PNG and iPhone photos?

JPG and PNG are supported. iPhone photos saved as HEIC need to be shared or exported as JPG first, which the Photos app can do.

Will my images lose quality?

No. Images are placed into the PDF as they are, without being recompressed.

Which page size should I choose?

A4 for documents you will print or submit in the UK and Europe, Letter for the US and Canada, and Fit to image for a photo album or slideshow.
