Is Macaaw suitable for regulated industries?
Server jobs run in London, files are deleted within 2 hours (or sooner under your own policy on Business), staff can never open your files, and Business includes an audit log, required two-step sign-in and a data processing agreement under UK GDPR. Check your own regulator’s rules for what you may process online.
Where are my files processed?
20 tools run in your browser, so the file never leaves your device. The other 20 run on our servers in London and are deleted within 2 hours.
Are e-signatures legally binding in England and Wales?
In England and Wales an electronic signature is valid for most agreements, and every signed PDF includes a certificate showing who signed, when and how. Deeds and documents that must be signed in front of a witness, such as wills, need extra formalities. Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own rules, so ask your adviser if you are unsure.
