About converting presentations to PDF
A PDF of your slides is the safest way to send a deck to someone who may not have PowerPoint, or to upload it to a portal that only accepts PDF. Each slide becomes one page at the slide's own proportions, so 16:9 decks stay widescreen. Text, shapes, images, tables and charts are kept, and links stay clickable. Animations and transitions cannot exist in a PDF, so each slide is shown in its finished state, with every animated item visible. Embedded video and audio are left out; consider adding a link to the video on the slide instead. Hidden slides are not included. Speaker notes are not added to the PDF, so if you want handouts with notes, export them from PowerPoint first. As with Word documents, fonts that are not installed on our server are replaced with a close match, so embed fonts in PowerPoint if the exact look matters. Image-heavy decks can be large; run the result through Compress PDF before emailing it.
Limits: files up to 25 MB with a free account, 200 MB on Pro and 500 MB on Business; up to 3 files per task on Free, 50 on Pro and 200 on Business. Each presentation counts as one Office conversion: 10 a month on Free, 300 on Pro and 500 per user on Business, shared across the workspace.
Before you sign in, files can be up to 25 MB and you can run 10 server tasks a day. A free account raises this to 25 MB and 10 tasks a day.
Privacy: your file is uploaded over an encrypted connection to our UK servers, processed automatically with no person opening it, and deleted within 2 hours (1 hour on Free), or straight away with Delete now.

PowerPoint to PDF: frequently asked questions
Do animations work in the PDF?
No. A PDF page is static, so each slide appears in its final state with all animated items showing.
Are speaker notes included?
No, only the slides themselves are converted. Export notes pages from PowerPoint if you need them.
Will hidden slides appear?
No. Hidden slides are skipped. Unhide them in PowerPoint before converting if you want them in the PDF.
My PDF is too large to email. What can I do?
Run it through Compress PDF. The Recommended level usually shrinks image-heavy decks a great deal while keeping text sharp.
